Pada hari ini, 12 Mei 2022, diselenggarakan acara besar pada Hari Perawat Internasional di Satyagraha Bhawan, Auditorium Yayasan Penelitian Satyagraha. Di mana perwakilan dari berbagai organisasi sosial, intelektual dan Mahasiswa Berpartisipasi. Pada kesempatan ini, pertama-tama penghormatan diberikan kepada pribadi-pribadi yang mengorbankan hidup mereka selama pelayanan Kemanusiaan. Duta perdamaian internal Cum Sekretaris Jenderal Yayasan Penelitian Satyagraha Dr Ajaz Ahmad Advokat Dr Shahnawaz Ali, Dr Suresh Kumar Agarwal Rektor Universitas Internasional Pragyan Jharkhand,Lohia dan editor Al Bayan Dr Salaam bersama-sama mengatakan bahwa ini adalah hari istimewa untuk menghormati dan Merayakan Kontribusi Perawat di seluruh dunia. Pada tahun 1953, Dorothy Sutherland dari Departemen Kesehatan, Pendidikan dan Kesejahteraan AS mengusulkan kepada Presiden saat itu untuk mendeklarasikan Hari Perawat pada bulan Oktober. Namun, usulan itu tidak disetujui. Selanjutnya, Frances P. Bolton, wanita pertama yang terpilih menjadi anggota Kongres dari Ohio, juga mensponsori rancangan undang-undang untuk “Pekan Perawat Nasional”. Namun hanya 20 tahun kemudian, pada Februari 1974, Presiden Nixon mendeklarasikan Pekan Perawat Nasional setiap tahun dari tanggal 6 Mei hingga 12 Mei. Bersamaan dengan itu, 12 Mei juga diperingati sebagai Hari Perawat.
